I hope your day is going as amazing mine!
Today, when I stepped on the scale I discovered I was down a whopping 91 lbs! At my highest weight in June of 2011, I weighted 255 lbs on my tiny 5'3 body frame. I was pre-diabetic, high cholesterol and the doctor bluntly told me I would most likely be dead within 10 years if I don't make a quick change. With hard work, I am now at 164 lbs which is still overweight but no longer obese and only 24lbs from a normal healthy BMI. I credit part of my weight loss to my complete addition to Starbuck's venti iced skinny vanilla lattes. 160 calories, 16 grams of protein, 12 carbs & 2.5 Fat. It's my favorite meal which I drink daily. The doctor has told me coffee isn't a meal or a proper diet plan but my taste buds and waistline disagree. It's been a long journey and I still have a long way to go but I was very happy to make it over the 90 lb mark.
Below is a photo of my daughter, Rose, who is 12 and myself taken this past Saturday. I'm the short one on the right. Just imagine me nearly 100lbs heavier. Hard to imagine now but true. For those of you who are struggling with their weight or know someone who is, I understand how hard it is. You can do it! Don't give up! Your health is worth it! It's a hard journey but you are not alone.
For those of you who don't know, Creativelive.com is the world's largest streaming live online classroom. It hosts live, online classes on a variety of photography business related topics from taking photos, editing, business and more. I absolutely LOVE Creativelive.com! It is a must watch for all photographers.
The classes are broadcast live on the Internet from their Seattle Studio. I was selected to be one of Ramit Sethi's live, in-studio students. This means you will probably see me live, on camera during the broadcast. However, I will be one of many people. The real goal here is to get one on one coaching with Ramit.
Who is Ramit Sethi? Ramit is author to the New York Time's Best Seller "I Will Teach You to be Rich." He offers life & business changing advise to help improve your quality of life, your finances and your over-all happiness. Like most HI wedding businesses, we have our struggles. And, expanding to San Diego has been much more challenging than expected. So, I'm hopeful Ramit can shed some light on it and help us grow. I'm also hopeful he'll help me learn new ways to service clients and generate income. However, just the chance to go to Creativelive is amazing in and of itself.
I am very excited to be going to Creative Live but also very, very scared to be on camera. The thought of tens of thousands of people watching me live scares me. I hope it goes well.
